POK receives the “Employer Partner of Firefighters” label |
On February 8th, POK had the honor of receiving the prestigious “Employer Partner of Firefighters” label. This distinction was awarded by the Prefect of Aube to approximately sixty companies in the department during an official ceremony held at the SDIS 10 headquarters.
What is the “Employer Partner of Firefighters” label?
This label, valid for a period of three years, highlights employers, whether public or private, who actively support the civic engagement of volunteer firefighters. To obtain this recognition, employers must sign a specific agreement that promotes the volunteerism of firefighters. This agreement includes leave authorizations, allowing the concerned employees to fully invest in their rescue missions without fearing repercussions on their primary employment. By facilitating the participation of employees in volunteer firefighting activities, employers contribute significantly to the safety and well-being of the community.
Volunteerism: A Major Issue for Our Territories
Volunteer firefighters are an essential pillar of our civil security. They play a crucial role in rescue operations, firefighting, and assisting people in difficulty. The support of employers is therefore vital to ensure the availability and efficiency of these dedicated volunteers. By supporting these important actors, POK actively contributes to their commitment and the safety of our communities.
POK’s Commitment
POK is proud to support these everyday heroes and contribute to their engagement. This recognition reinforces the idea that cooperation between employers and volunteer firefighters is beneficial for public safety and the professional environment. By obtaining this label, POK demonstrates its civic commitment and its willingness to promote the values of solidarity and public service upheld by volunteer firefighters.
In summary, this label is a recognition of POK’s civic engagement and its determination to support the values of solidarity and public service upheld by volunteer firefighters. POK is committed to continuing to support these values and to encourage volunteerism within its company. By fostering a culture of volunteerism, POK helps build stronger, safer communities.
