Four POK® teams have been working tirelessly to prepare for the tournament on 14 September 2019 organised by EDF.
On Saturday, September 14, 2019, the EDF Nogent-sur-Seine power plant organised an company football tournament in partnership with the Football Club Nogentais. The tournament was held in “world cup” format at Roger Couderc stadium in Nogent-sur-Seine from 10am to 5pm. Overall a total of sixteen teams each composed of 5 to 10 players (including substitutes) from different companies participated. POK, EDF, SAIPOL, SOUFFLET and even the Nogent-sur-Seine Fire Brigade were present.
During the tournament period, the 16 teams met on the field in a spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.
From 9:00 am the four POK teams, composed of motivated employees who were physically and morally ready to take up this challenge,
began with training sessions supervised by professional coaches at the Roger Couderc stadium in Nogent-sur-Seine.
This sport event was a unique opportunity for everyone to meet outside the workplace. “This has also helped to energize the teams and encourage them to create new relationships. The main purpose was to have fun and to strengthen team spirit and motivation” was unanimously agreed among the groups. Once the games were announced, the POK team players took their places on their respective fields. “Our employees have redoubled their efforts on the field to compete against other players”.
At the end of the event, the trophies were presented to the participants by some of the company managers, including POK’s Executive Director Alexandra Grandpierre. Four trophies were awarded to our teams. “The first POK team even won 2nd place, a very satisfactory ranking”.
After a day full of emotions, the good mood suggested that, what was a second time to participate for POK, will not be the last! All the players and supporters were delighted to have been present at this tournament. This event demonstrated the values that drive all POK players. “We put this energy at the service of our customers every day”.
